MILKY WAY
The Milky Way is the galaxy that includes the Solar System, with the name describing the galaxy's appearance from Earth: a hazy band of light seen in the night sky formed from stars in other arms of the galaxy.

MILKY WAY
FROM BLACK BOULDER MESA
The Milky Way imaged a few hundred feet away from my observatory.
This very interesting shaped Pinon Pine caught my attention. The black lava boulders give the name to the town, Boulder, Utah, and to the mesa where my observatory is located, Black Boulder Mesa.

NORTHERN CYGNUS REGION
PART OF THE MILKY WAY
The two bright stars are the body and tail of the constellation, Cygnu the Swan.
The North America Nebula can be seen below the left star. The nebula just below the right star is the Gamma Cygni Nebula.
